I Wish I Had Been Better Prepared
Menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life, yet it is often misunderstood. Many women discover the first symptoms without realizing they are linked to this period of transition.
During the interviews conducted for the OLYVIA project, several participants described feeling surprised by the first changes they experienced. The most frequently mentioned symptoms were hot flashes, sleep disturbances, fatigue, mood swings, and difficulty concentrating.
Some women also explained that they struggled to find reliable and accessible information. They wished they had been better informed in order to anticipate the physical and emotional changes associated with menopause.
The collected testimonies highlight the importance of providing clear, reassuring, and accessible resources. They also emphasize the value of a supportive community where women can share experiences and feel less alone during this stage of life.
OLYVIA was created to meet this need by offering information, practical advice, and a dedicated support community focused on menopause.
